The range

WHAT IT WORKS WITH

Beastie tools are not firmer and softer versions of each other. Each one solves a different problem — how concentrated the pressure needs to be, and whether you can actually get your body onto it.

Focus

How concentrated the pressure is. Higher means a smaller contact patch and a more specific spot.

Reach

How easily it gets to places you cannot lie down on. Higher means less floor, less contortion.

Tool Focus Reach Built for Link
Floor · wall · chairBeastie Ball One point at a time. Glutes, shoulder blades, the arch of the foot, the attachment at the edge of a hip. Ships with a base that holds it still.
Floor · wall · chairAdjustable Peanut The length of the back, worked either side of the spine and never on it. The gap between the two balls adjusts.
Hand-held · or floor with standsBeastie Bar Calves, forearms, shins and quads without getting on the floor. Two-handed control means you set the pressure directly.
Hand-held · seatedBeastie Hook The mid-back, the top of the shoulder, the side of the neck — places you cannot lie on without tensing the muscle you are trying to reach.

Firmness is a separate question from which tool. On the floor with your full body weight behind it, most people want Original. Against a wall or seated you apply far less force — Xtra Firm usually feels better there.
