High-profile bumps reach deeper than a flat surface can, and the large spaces between them give displaced tissue somewhere to go.

Firm but flexible — it works around bone instead of over it, which hard rollers and PVC pipe cannot do.

22" Mid Size — covers most of the same work as the 31" Full Size and still fits a gym bag. The colour is the only thing about it that is limited.

Lifetime Satisfaction Warranty — return it at any time, for any reason.

Free standard US shipping, no minimum — $18 to Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Ships to 40+ countries.

Limited Edition PINK Mid Size 22" Original RumbleRoller

Selection

IS THIS THE RIGHT ONE?

For most people, including professional athletes, the Original is the right answer — and this is the Original. Firmer does not mean deeper: how hard the surface feels and how far the texture reaches are two different things.

Firmness

How hard the surface feels under body weight. Foam density and how thick the layer is over the core.

Depth

How far the texture reaches into tissue. Bump profile height and the space between bumps.

Tool Firmness Depth Built for Link
Shallow tissueGator Thin tissue close to bone and tendon — hips, the bottom of the feet, triceps, lower calf. A thinner foam layer over the core makes the surface firm; the lower-profile texture keeps it from digging.
Deep tissueOriginal — you are here Bulky muscle — quads, hamstrings, glutes, lats, upper back. The right answer for most people, including professional athletes. The pink is this roller in a different colour.
Deep tissue · advancedXtra Firm The same targets as the Original, for people who have stopped feeling it. Denser material, same geometry. Not a starting point.
PinpointBeastie Single-point work a roller cannot reach. Two firmnesses — Original, and an Xtra Firm about as hard as a lacrosse ball.

The jeopardy of going too firm is that it may be too painful — not too painful to use, but too painful to use correctly. Move up when the Original stops registering, not before.

What you will actually do with it

Three of the six positions from our starter routine. Slowly — an inch or two a second — and relax onto the roller rather than bracing against it.

Rolling the upper and mid back

Upper and mid back

90 sec

Face-up, roller across the upper back, knees bent, hips just off the floor. Roll between the shoulder blades and the bottom of the ribcage, rocking left and right to reach the muscle either side of the spine. Stay between those two points — do not roll on up onto your neck.

Rolling the quadriceps

Quads

60 sec each side

Face down on your forearms, roller under the thighs, toes dragging. Work from above the knee to the top of the thigh, tilting in and out. Take weight into your forearms to ease off — this is the position where that makes the biggest difference.

Rolling the glutes

Glutes and piriformis

45 sec each side

Sit on the roller, one ankle crossed over the opposite knee, and lean into the glute of the crossed leg. Small circles rather than long rolls. Most of what people call lower-back tightness answers here rather than on the lower back.

The 22" Original, in limited-edition pink

Same roller, same patented bump geometry, same Original firmness — a limited production run in pink.

The high-profile bumps reach further into muscle than a flat surface can, the large spaces between them give displaced tissue somewhere to go, and because they are firm but flexible they deflect around bone instead of riding over it. As you roll, they knead and stretch rather than simply press.

Try rocking, not just rolling

Switch from rolling to a slow side-to-side rocking motion. The bumps give way easily when rolled over but resist much more when loaded sideways, so they reach deeper without any change in body weight.

22" Mid Size — covers most of the same work as the Full Size and still fits a gym bag. Limited quantities; once this run is gone it will not be reordered.

6" diameter, 22" long — the Mid Size. It covers most of the same work as the 31" Full Size and still fits a gym bag. The 12" Compact and the 31" Full Size are available in the standard blue.

Identical in every respect to the blue Original apart from the colour: the same solid core of very resilient high-density EVA foam, the same moulded outer layer of firm but flexible bumps, the same Original firmness.

A solid core of very resilient high-density EVA foam, with a moulded outer layer of firm but flexible bumps.

The bump geometry is covered by three US patents: D660,450, 9,039,641 and 9,320,675. Rollers are manufactured in Taiwan; Beastie products are made in the USA.

The bumps permanently retain their shape and resiliency — they do not flatten out with use.

Wipe clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. All RumbleRoller products are latex-free and have been independently lab-tested in accordance with the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act for lead and phthalates.

Free standard shipping on every US order, with no minimum. Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico are a flat $18, and Canada is a flat $30. We ship to more than 40 countries.

Covered by the Lifetime Satisfaction Warranty: return at any time, for any reason, for replacement, exchange, or a refund up to full MSRP. You cover return shipping, and it applies once per product type. There is no window to miss.

Mechanism

WHY BUMPS, NOT A CYLINDER

A smooth roller presses tissue flat against itself. High-profile bumps push into it instead, and the large spaces between them give displaced soft tissue somewhere to go.

Using harder rollers or PVC pipe is not enough, because their inflexible surfaces do not work well around bones. These flex where they need to.

Since 2009

THE ROLLER THAT CREATED THE CATEGORY

In 2009 RumbleRoller introduced the first deep-tissue textured roller. Three US patents cover the bump geometry, and the design now ships to more than 40 countries.

Everything since has been a variation on that idea — including the ones that copied it.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS

Is the pink one different from the blue?

Only the colour. Same solid high-density EVA core, same patented bump geometry, same Original firmness, same 6-inch diameter, same warranty. It performs identically — we made a run of it in pink, and that is the whole story.

What does limited edition actually mean here?

It is a one-off colour run rather than part of the permanent range. When these are gone we have no plans to make more, and the Original continues in blue. It is not a different product and it is not a collector's item — if you want a pink one, this is where they come from.

Is the Original firm enough for me?

For most people, including professional athletes, the Original is the right answer. Move up to Xtra Firm when the Original stops registering, not before. The jeopardy of going too firm is that it may be too painful — not too painful to use, but too painful to use correctly.

How is this different from a normal foam roller?

A smooth cylinder presses tissue flat. The bumps on a RumbleRoller push into it, and the spaces between them give displaced tissue room to move. The material is firm but flexible, so it works around bone rather than over it.

Is 22 inches long enough?

For almost everything, yes. The 22-inch Mid Size covers quads, hamstrings, glutes, calves, lats and the upper back, and it fits in a gym bag — which the 31-inch does not. The Full Size is easier if you like to lie back along the roller with it running the length of your spine. If that is how you work, the blue 31-inch is the one to get.

Will the bumps flatten out over time?

No. The bumps permanently retain their shape and resiliency. Each roller is built around a solid core of very resilient high-density EVA foam.

Is it supposed to be uncomfortable?

Some discomfort is normal, especially on tight areas and in the first few sessions. Sharp pain is not. Ease off, use less body weight, or move to a lower-depth tool. If you have persistent or severe pain, numbness, radiating pain, a recent injury, or you are recovering from surgery, talk to a licensed healthcare provider before using any self-massage tool.
